This Privacy Policy explains what personal data is processed in connection with the Kitten Cottage mobile game for iOS and Android (the “App”), how it is processed, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC).
Short version: Kitten Cottage is a fully offline single-player game. The App makes no network requests at all. We do not run a server, we do not collect analytics, we do not track you, and we do not require an account. Your save game stays on your device.

1. What Kitten Cottage does
Kitten Cottage is a cozy, single-player game that you play locally on your iPhone or Android device. The App does not require an internet connection, does not make any network requests once installed, does not have user accounts, does not synchronize between devices, and does not contain any in-app purchases. The App is a one-time paid download; payment is handled by Apple or Google (see Section 3).
2. Data stored locally on your device
The App stores your game state on your device using the operating system’s standard preferences storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or to any third party.

This data is technical and gameplay-related. It does not include your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or any information you entered about yourself — because the App never asks for any of that.
Legal basis (ePrivacy, Art. 5(3) Directive 2002/58/EC): Storing this data on your device is strictly necessary to provide the game service you requested (saving your progress so you can continue playing). No consent banner is required because no information is stored beyond what is technically necessary for the service.
3. Apple App Store and Google Play Store
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. When you purchase, download, install, or update the App, Apple or Google process data about you and your device under their own privacy policies. They are independent data controllers for that processing — not our processors.
This includes, depending on platform and your settings:
- Account identifier (Apple ID / Google account)
- Payment data for the one-time purchase
- Device identifiers, IP address, country
- Optional crash reports and aggregated app usage metrics that Apple or Google may collect at the operating-system level if you have opted into “Share with App Developers” / “Share crash data” in your device settings
Important: We do not integrate Apple App Analytics, Google Play Vitals dashboards, Firebase, Crashlytics, Sentry, or any comparable SDK into the App. Any data Apple or Google collect at the platform level is processed under their own terms; we may receive aggregated, non-personal statistics through the developer dashboards, but no individual-level data.

4. What we do NOT do
To make our position fully explicit:
- ❌ No analytics or telemetry SDK (no Firebase Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude, no GameAnalytics, etc.)
- ❌ No crash reporting SDK (no Crashlytics, no Sentry)
- ❌ No advertising and no advertising identifiers (no IDFA / no AAID usage)
- ❌ No tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or behavioral profiling
- ❌ No user accounts, no login, no email collection
- ❌ No cloud save, no cross-device sync, no online leaderboards
- ❌ No in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no loot boxes with real money
- ❌ No access to your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, location, or calendar
- ❌ No data sold or shared with marketing partners
5. Permissions
Kitten Cottage requests no permissions. Production builds for the Apple App Store and Google Play Store declare zero runtime permissions: no camera, no microphone, no location, no photos, no contacts, no calendar — and no network access. All assets, including fonts and music, are bundled with the App.
6. Children’s privacy
The App is suitable for all ages and contains no advertising, tracking, or contact features. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, because — as described above — we do not collect personal data from anyone through the App.
7. Data retention

8. Your rights under the GDPR
Because we do not collect or store personal data about you on any system under our control, the GDPR data subject rights (Articles 15–22) have very limited practical scope here: there is no record on our side to access, rectify, port, or erase.
You nevertheless have the right at any time to:
- contact us with questions about this Privacy Policy,
- ask us to confirm that no personal data about you is held by us,
- lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement.
For data Apple or Google hold about your purchase or device, please contact them directly.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
If a future update of the App introduces new data processing — for example, optional cloud save, opt-in crash reporting, or any third-party SDK — we will update this Privacy Policy and the “Last updated” date at the top before that processing begins.
